Job summary

BT Group is seeking a technical engineer to provide 24x7 data services support across London, Sheffield, Belfast, Birmingham or Manchester. You will resolve incidents and service requests, coordinate with vendors, and drive improvements across the service lifecycle.

Candidate should have experience in managed services, CCNA/CCNP or equivalent, and strong organisation and communication skills to own issues end-to-end in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems integrator or managed support environments as a technical engineer.
• Industry certification such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP (or vendor equivalent).
• Knowledge of Data Services technologies, BT Managed Service products, and customer IT systems.
• Experience contributing across the service lifecycle, including shaping technical solutions.
• Ability to identify and drive service improvements and transformation initiatives.
• Effective organisation, prioritisation, and communication with ownership and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents, service requests, changes, and problems across the Data Services portfolio in line with SLAs.
• Manage and communicate customer issues effectively, including escalation to vendors and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver timely resolutions and maintain service quality.
• Support continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, training, and development of tools and processes.
• Contribute to 24x7 service delivery, including on-call support, proactive infrastructure maintenance, and SME responsibilities.
