Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. in Preston is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Citrix Engineer to join an on-site support team. You will act as the technical authority for Citrix infrastructure, providing expert-level support and complex troubleshooting in secure enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 3rd Line / Senior Infrastructure Support experience.
• Hands-on Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop) experience.
• Citrix Cloud experience.
• NetScaler ADC experience.
• Citrix WEM experience.
• Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy experience.
• FSLogix experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line support for complex Citrix incidents and problems.
• Act as the SME for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM.
• Lead technical investigations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Manage and optimise Citrix policies, profiles and end-user experience.
• Support patching, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements.
• Work closely with architecture, engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve defects and recurring issues.
• Maintain strong customer service and operate in line with ITIL and service management processes.

We are seeking an experienced Third Line Citrix SME to join an on-site support team in Preston. You will act as the technical authority for Citrix infrastructure, providing expert-level support, complex troubleshooting and technical assurance across secure enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line support for complex Citrix incidents and problems.
• Act as the SME for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM.
• Lead technical investigations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Manage and optimise Citrix policies, profiles and end-user experience.
• Support patching, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Third Line / Senior Infrastructure Support role.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop)
  • Citrix Cloud
  • NetScaler ADC
  • Citrix WEM
  • Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
  • FSLogix
• Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V and/or XenServer environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Experience with ITIL and enterprise support models.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Active SC Clearance is essential.
