Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking a 3rd Line Citrix Engineer for an on-site Preston role. You will act as the technical authority for Citrix infrastructure within a secure enterprise environment, delivering expert troubleshooting and technical assurance.

Active SC Clearance is essential, sole British nationals only due to project requirements, and the role is Inside IR35 with a day rate of £290–£310.

Qualifications

• Proven Third Line / Senior Infrastructure Support experience.
• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM.
• Strong Windows Server, AD and GP skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL and enterprise support models.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line support for complex Citrix incidents and problems.
• Act as the SME for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM.
• Lead technical investigations, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Manage and optimise Citrix policies, profiles and end-user experience.
• Support patching, upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements.
• Work closely with architecture, engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve defects and recurring issues.
• Maintain strong customer service and operate in line with ITIL and service management processes.

We are seeking an experienced Third Line Citrix SME to join an on-site support team in Preston. You will act as the technical authority for Citrix infrastructure, providing expert-level support, complex troubleshooting and technical assurance across secure enterprise environments.

• Act as the SME for Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix Cloud, NetScaler ADC and WEM.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a Third Line / Senior Infrastructure Support role.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop)
• Citrix Cloud
• NetScaler ADC
• Citrix WEM
• Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
• FSLogix
• Experience supporting VMware, Hyper-V and/or XenServer environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Experience with ITIL and enterprise support models
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
