Job summary

V.Group seeks a Third Engineer for Orient Express Sailing Yachts aboard shipboard. The role oversees engine room watchkeeping, maintenance, and reporting under the Staff Engineer. You will ensure safe, efficient operation in line with MARPOL, SOLAS, and company procedures while maintaining logs and handovers.

Embarkation is scheduled for March 2027. A mandatory Advanced IGF Code certification and full compliance with C601d training requirements are required for consideration on this contract.

Qualifications

• STCW requirements per IMO amendments.
• Advanced IGF Code Certificate mandatory.
• Company training requirements per form C601d.
• Embarkation: March 2027.
• Contract: 2 months on/off.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine room watchkeeping as EOOW during assigned watches.
• Carry out maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery in coordination with Staff Engineer.
• Prepare engine logbook and complete handover notes with status of machinery.
• Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS, VMS and shipboard procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safe operation of machinery.
