Job summary

Orient Express Sailing Yachts is seeking a Third Engineer to join the engine department on a shipboard contract. The role includes engine room watchkeeping, preventive maintenance and reporting under the guidance of the Staff Engineer.

Responsibilities cover logbook accuracy, handovers, and adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards while supporting vessel operations and compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced IGF Code Certificate is mandatory.
• IMO STCW Convention (as amended) requirements per form C601d.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine room watchkeeping as EOOW during assigned watches.
• Carry out maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of machinery.
• Maintain engine room logbook accurately and provide handover with status and defects.
• Monitor equipment condition and report defects, failures, and safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with MARPOL, SOLAS and shipboard procedures.
