Job summary

Orient Express Sailing Yachts seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engine Department aboard ORIENT EXPRESS OLYMPIAN. You will hold ultimate responsibility for safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of all mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hotel tech systems.

Reporting to the Master (operationally) and Shore Technical Management (technically), you will drive regulatory compliance, budget control, and act as primary technical advisor while coordinating with Shore Management

Qualifications

• STCW compliance knowledge and training.
• Budget control and cost management.
• Regulatory and safety leadership.
• Technical advisory to Master.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engine & Electrical departments with strategic direction.
• Coordinate emergencies and act as advisor to Master.
• Manage statutory surveys, CMS, PSC inspections.
• Oversee maintenance planning and ship systems.
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance across engine room.
