Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced 14T excavator operator for a busy road groundworks project in Kent. You will operate a tracked excavator and work to drawings, levels and site specifications.

Proven CPCS/NPORS CSCS-affiliated 360 excavator cards, Safety Critical Medical, and right to work in the UK are required. Weekly pay and ongoing work on road formation projects are offered.

Qualifications

• CPCS/NPORS CSCS-affiliated 360 excavator certification is required.
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS Excavator as Crane certification required.
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific) is mandatory.
• Ability to work in UK and on site with others is essential.
• Proven experience operating a 14T excavator is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 14T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently.
• Carry out road formation and earthworks as part of a gang.
• Excavate and prepare sub-formation, capping layers and formation levels.
• Topsoil stripping, bulk excavation and site preparation.
• Place, spread and trim Type 1, crushed materials and other aggregates.
• Work to levels, gradients, falls and profiles.
• Support road construction and hardstanding areas.
• Work around live services and use service avoidance techniques.
• Carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and basic maintenance.

360 Machine Operator / Excavator Operator

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Kent.

You will operate a 14T 360 tracked excavator across a range of groundwork and earthworks activities, with a particular focus on road formations and associated groundwork.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as part of a road formation gang and be confident working accurately to drawings, levels and specifications while maintaining high standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating a 14T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently
• Carrying out road formation and earthworks as part of an established road formation gang
• Excavating and preparing sub-formation, capping layers and formation levels
• Topsoil stripping, bulk excavation and site preparation
• Placing, spreading and trimming Type 1, crushed materials and other aggregates
• Working accurately to levels, gradients, falls and profiles
• Supporting the construction and preparation of roads, access roads and hardstanding areas
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator*
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

• Proven experience operating a 14T excavator – ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience working as part of a road formation gang – ESSENTIAL

DESIRABLE

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS* Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS* Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5+ years of experience
