Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD seeks skilled Excavator Operators for a busy groundwork project in West Sussex. The role focuses on operating 360 tracked excavators to break out and remove hardstanding such as concrete and tarmac, while maintaining safety and plant care.

You will join a site team to remove materials, load arisings, and prepare areas for subsequent construction works, following site procedures and safety standards. Ongoing opportunities and training are available.

Qualifications

• CPCS/NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Excavator +/- 10t Tracked is required.
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS Excavator as Crane.
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience carrying out hardstanding removal and breaking-out works.

Responsibilities

• Breaking out and removing existing hardstanding, including concrete, tarmac, slabs and other materials
• Excavating and removing broken-out materials
• Digging strip foundations, trenches and bulk excavations to drawings and levels
• Preparing areas for subsequent excavation, earthworks or construction activities
• Topsoil levelling, type 1 / crush placement and road formation works
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

360 Machine Operator / Excavator Operator

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in West Sussex.

The role will primarily involve operating 360 tracked excavators to break out and remove existing hardstanding, including concrete, tarmac, slabs and other construction materials, safely and efficiently.

You will work as part of a site team to remove existing materials, load and move arisings and prepare areas for subsequent construction works, whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Breaking out and removing existing hardstanding, including concrete, tarmac, slabs and other materials
• Excavating and removing broken-out materials
• Digging strip foundations, trenches and bulk excavations to drawings and levels
• Preparing areas for subsequent excavation, earthworks or construction activities
• Topsoil levelling, type 1 / crush placement and road formation works
• Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets
• Acknowledging the need for dig permits before breaking ground
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Excavator +/- 10t Tracked*
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience carrying out hardstanding removal and breaking-out works

DESIRABLE

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS* Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS* Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5+ years of experience
