Job summary

Coinford Holdings Ltd in Kent is seeking skilled Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project. You will operate an 8t 360 tracked excavator across diverse tasks, maintaining safety and plant care on site.

Key responsibilities include forming driveways and access routes, working with a forming crew, and performing daily site checks. Opportunities exist for progression within the company.

Qualifications

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator +/- 10t Tracked required.
• Proven experience operating an 8T excavator.
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific).

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently.
• Carry out scaffold mat and driveway formation works as part of a gang.
• Prepare and form driveways, access routes and hardstanding areas.
• Work with Groundworkers, Site Engineers, Dumper Operators and other plant operators to achieve formation levels.
• Dig trenches and perform general groundwork tasks as required.
• Handle trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets as needed.
• Be aware of live services and use service avoidance techniques.
• Conduct daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks.
• Perform basic maintenance and keep machines clean and tidy.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Kent.

You will operate an 8t 360 tracked excavators across a variety of groundwork and drainage tasks, maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating an 8T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently
• Carrying out scaffold mat and driveway formation works as part of an established gang
• Preparing and forming driveways, access routes and hardstanding areas
• Working alongside Groundworkers, Site Engineers, Dumper Operators and other plant operators to achieve the required formation levels
• Digging trenches and carrying out general groundwork activities where required
• Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets where required
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTS

• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator +/- 10t Tracked*
• Proven experience operating an 8T excavator
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• 5+ years of experience
