Job summary

ALD & Aggreg8 Solutions is seeking a 360 Excavator Operator to work on construction and civil projects in Essex. You will operate a 360 excavator safely, perform trenching, grading and earthmoving, load materials, and follow site plans while complying with health and safety rules.

The ideal candidate holds a CPCS or NPORS 360 certification, has prior experience on civil works, understands risk assessments, and holds a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator certification.
• Previous experience operating 360 excavators on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of site safety procedures and risk assessments.
• Full UK driving licence due to work location

Responsibilities

• Operate a 360 excavator safely and competently on construction sites.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and earthmoving tasks.
• Load and unload materials into trucks and other equipment.
• Carry out routine machine inspections, maintenance checks, and report faults.
• Follow site plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work effectively with site managers, groundworkers, and other trades.
• Use attachments such as buckets, breakers, or grabs when required.

LOCATION: Essex

WORKING HOURS: 7:00 am – 17:00 Monday to Friday

REPORTING TO: Site Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR: None

MAIN PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES OF ROLE:

A 360 Excavator Operator is responsible for operating 360-degree excavators safely and efficiently on construction, civil engineering, demolition, and groundworks projects. The role involves carrying out excavation, trenching, grading, lifting, and site preparation while complying with health and safety regulations.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a 360 excavator safely and competently on construction sites.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and earthmoving tasks.
• Load and unload materials into trucks and other equipment.
• Carry out routine machine inspections, maintenance checks, and report any faults.
• Follow site plans, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Work effectively with site managers, groundworkers, and other trades.
• Use attachments such as buckets, breakers, or grabs when required.
• Maintain safe working practices whilst undertaking your duties at all times
• To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately
• Work flexibly and be receptive and adaptable to a changing environment within a fast-expanding Company
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by management
