Job summary

NGARE EMPLOYMENT SOLUTIONS PTY LTD is seeking an Excavator Operator for a West Sussex project. The role focuses on operating a 35T tracked excavator with breaker, loading ADTs, and supporting bulk earthworks and material movement.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience with large excavators, maintain safety around heavy plant, and perform daily inspections and basic maintenance as required. Right to work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating 35T excavators on heavy earthworks.
• Experience with hydraulic breakers for breaking concrete and rock.
• Proven ability to load ADTs safely and efficiently.
• CSCS-affiliated NPORS/CPCS cards required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate 35T tracked excavators safely and efficiently.
• Use hydraulic breaker on large excavators for breaking materials.
• Load ADTs and ensure loads are balanced.
• Perform bulk excavation and earthworks as directed.
• Maintain site safety and carry out pre-start checks.

Excavator Operator

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in West Sussex.

The role will primarily involve operating a 35T tracked excavator with breaker attachment, together with loading Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) and supporting bulk earthworks and material movement operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating large excavators, working safely around heavy plant and carrying out high-volume excavation and breaking works.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating 35T tracked excavators safely and efficiently
• Operating a 35T excavator with hydraulic breaker attachment for breaking concrete, hardstanding, rock and other materials as required
• Loading ADTs safely and efficiently, ensuring loads are distributed appropriately
• Carrying out bulk excavation and earthworks
• Loading and moving soil, spoil, aggregates and other materials
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

REQUIREMENTs

• Proven experience operating 35T excavators
• Experience using hydraulic breakers on large excavators - ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience loading ADTs - ESSENTIAL
• CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator* - Essential
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• GPS machine control experience
• CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• CPCS / NPORS* Telehandler
• CPCS / NPORS* Quick Hitch Attachment
• 5+ years of experience
