Job summary

Coinford Holdings Ltd in London is seeking skilled Excavator Operators to join our groundwork team on a busy project. You will operate 360 tracked excavators across earthworks, groundworks and infrastructure activities, with a focus on grading, formation works and working accurately to levels while maintaining safety and plant care. The role involves grading to formation levels, preparing sub-formation, topsoil levelling and road formation, plus site inspections and teamwork.

Qualifications

• CPCS/NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Excavator +/- 10t Tracked required.
• CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS Excavator as Crane considered.
• Safety Critical Medical (site specific) required.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work with other trades.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operating 360 tracked excavators safely and efficiently across a range of earthworks and groundwork activities
• Carrying out grading and trimming works to formation levels, including roads, footpaths, hardstanding and external areas
• Preparing and trimming sub-formation and formation levels ready for subsequent works
• Topsoil levelling, type 1 / crush placement and road formation works
• Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets
• Acknowledging the need for dig permits before breaking ground
• Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
• Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for skilled Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in London. You will be responsible for operating 360 tracked excavators across a range of earthworks, groundworks and infrastructure activities, with a particular focus on grading, formation works, bulk excavation and working accurately to levels, maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating 360 tracked excavators safely and efficiently across a range of earthworks and groundwork activities
• Carrying out grading and trimming works to formation levels, including roads, footpaths, hardstanding and external areas
• Preparing and trimming sub-formation and formation levels ready for subsequent works
• Topsoil levelling, type 1 / crush placement and road formation works
• Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets

• CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
• 5+ years of experience
