Driver Hire Preston are recruiting for a Temporary 3.5T Driver / Warehouse Operative in Chorley. The role combines driving and warehouse duties, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and hours Monday to Friday. Starts ASAP and runs until Christmas, with overnight stays possible for required deliveries.

Applicants should hold a UK Category B licence and be comfortable switching between driving and warehouse tasks. This temporary role offers ongoing work during a busy period.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Category B driving licence (required).
• Ideally have previous multi-drop driving experience.
• Be happy working in a combined driving and warehouse role.
• Flexible regarding when driving duties are required.
• Comfortable with nationwide deliveries and potential overnight stays.
• Physically fit and able to manual handle loads.
• Good work ethic and willingness to engage in all aspects of the operation.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsabilités

• Driving a 3.5T van and completing deliveries as required.
• Multi-drop deliveries of kitchen appliances.
• Delivering to trade premises and direct-to-site locations.
• Completing kerbside deliveries as close as possible to delivery point.
• Nationwide driving, including overnight stays when required.
• Loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Completing relevant paperwork.
• Carrying out vehicle checks.
• Unloading deliveries and helping the warehouse team.
• Stock replenishment and order preparation.
