Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a driver to join our local delivery team in Salisbury. You will be responsible for loading stock at the branch and delivering to customers, ensuring accurate paperwork and maintaining great service to our regular customers.

The role is part of a 7-day operation with potential weekend shifts, offering the opportunity to build strong customer relationships and contribute to on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Cat B / 3.5T Licence required.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Drive locally as part of a delivery team and build relationships with regular customers.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
