Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a driver to perform local deliveries from the Preston Farm Industrial Estate area, working 45 hours per week. The role involves loading at the branch, delivering to customers, and completing paperwork accurately.

Shifts are Mon-Fri with some weekend work; overtime is available. CatC / 18T licence and at least two years’ driving experience are required, with a focus on reliable, customer-friendly service.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence is required.
• Minimum two years driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Help keep customers' shelves stocked with needed products.

About the role

The working pattern is Mon-Fri Start time 06:30-16:15

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
