Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a delivery driver to join our team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for loading stock, delivering to local customers, and ensuring accurate paperwork and on-time deliveries. This role requires a Cat B / 3.5T licence, two years of driving experience, and a proactive customer-service approach.

The role operates on a 7-day schedule with weekend shifts in a busy delivery environment, offering benefits and career progression within the Booker/Tesco network.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and prepare for delivery.
• Unload at customer premises and confirm delivery details.
• Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with regular customers.
• Ensure deliveries are made on time and in good condition.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
