Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local delivery team in Worcester. You will load stock at the branch, deliver to customers and unload at customer premises, while building relationships with regular customers.

This 7-day operation may include weekend work; you should have Cat C / 18T licence and at least two years of driving experience, with strong customer service and numeracy skills.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence / Class 2 required.
• Two years' driving experience preferred.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Keep shelves stocked and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patterns may include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence / Class 2

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
