Job summary

Booker Group plc is seeking a driver to join our delivery team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will work a 45-hour week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, loading at the branch, delivering to regular customers, and handling paperwork with accuracy.

We value excellent interpersonal skills and a positive customer service attitude, with experience in delivery driving and the ability to perform manual deliveries. Overtime and weekend work may apply.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence required.
• Two years driving experience minimum.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good level of literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver to customers and maintain shelves full of products.
• Support a local delivery team with timely, safe, and professional service.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
