Job summary

Booker Group plc in Leeds is hiring a delivery driver to join our regional team. You will drive locally, load and unload goods, and service regular customers, ensuring on-time deliveries and accurate paperwork.

The role is 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 shift pattern with some weekend work. A CatC / 18T licence and two years of driving experience are required. Booker offers colleague discounts, a pension plan and health and wellbeing support as part of its benefits.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence is required.
• Two years driving experience minimum.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver to customers and keep shelves stocked with products.

About the role

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
