Job summary

Booker Group plc is hiring a delivery driver to join our local team in Aberdeen. You will transport goods to customers, load at the branch and unload at premises, while maintaining accurate paperwork and building strong customer relationships.

The role operates on a 45-hour week with potential weekend work; a CatC / 18T Licence and prior driving experience are required, along with strong literacy and numeracy skills to handle paperwork and orders.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Previous driving experience (at least two years) and CatC / 18T Licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers shelves are kept stocked by loading stock into the vehicle and unloading at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain good customer service during deliveries.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure timely deliveries during an Any 5 from 7 shift pattern.

About the role

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

CatC / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
