Job summary

Booker is hiring a local delivery driver in Colchester to join our busy delivery team. You will be responsible for loading stock, delivering to customers and ensuring a high standard of service across the branch network.

We value reliable, friendly individuals with a valid Cat B licence and at least two years of delivery experience. The role requires good literacy and numeracy and may involve weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat B / 3.5T licence.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into vehicle and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure accurate paperwork and delivery documentation.
• Build relationships with regular customers and ensure timely deliveries.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. You will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

This is a 7 day operation, our shift patternsmay include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat B / 3.5T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
