Job summary
Nextech Group in Northampton is seeking a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our growing MSP team. You will handle escalated IT tickets, troubleshoot Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and networking, and provide hands-on support including occasional onsite visits.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, with IT certifications a plus. You will work with 1st/3rd line teams and participate in rotating out-of-hours support to keep client environments stable.
Qualifications
- 2nd Line Support experience
- Strong Windows and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and networking
- Azure, Entra ID, Intune and VoIP experience is desirable
- Good communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Resolve 2nd line support tickets and escalated issues
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking problems
- Support Windows, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Intune
- Support networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP and Microsoft Teams
- Provide occasional onsite support
- Work with 1st and 3rd line teams to resolve complex issues
- Participate in a rotating out-of-hours support rota
