Job summary

V.Ships Leisure Recruitment is seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer (watch keeper) to join AZAMARA cruise ships on a rotation. Embarkation dates include ASAP for PURSUIT, 01/Sep for JOURNEY, 01/Nov for QUEST, with a 14 weeks on/off rotation.

The role requires STCW95, CoC A-III/1, C1D visa, and strong English, plus experience with Wartsila engines and high voltage systems. Duties cover engine room watch, maintenance, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Valid CoC A-III/1.
• Appropriate certification as required by regulations.
• Experience on passenger/cruise vessels as 2nd Engineer.
• Diesel-electric engines experience.
• High Voltage Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe engine room watch at sea, in port and at anchor.
• Lead safe operations of machinery and monitor engine control systems.
• Oversee maintenance in the Engine Room per company policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with technical parties and departments.
• Operate/maintenance of Main and Auxiliary engines.
