Job summary

Azamara Cruises is seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join our Engine department aboard the ship. You will maintain the main and auxiliary engines, lead safe operations, and ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS and environmental regulations.

Joining ASAP for a 4-month contract with potential extension, you must hold STCW95 and CoC A-III/1, be fluent in English, and bring extensive seagoing experience on passenger vessels.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification is required.
• Valid CoC A-III/1 certification is required.
• Extensive experience on board passenger ships as a 3rd Engineer.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent command of English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain main and auxiliary engines in the engine room.
• Perform maintenance and repairs as directed by the Chief/Staff Engineer.
• Monitor engine controls and ensure seaworthiness and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with other technical departments and ensure proper log keeping.
• Lead safe operations and enforce health and safety regulations.
