Job summary

Azamara Journey is seeking a Staff Chief Engineer to supervise the Engine Department on a 10 weeks on/off contract. You will lead the team, ensure safe operation of all propulsion and auxiliary systems, and report to the Chief Engineer while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Excellent English, STCW95, CoC A-III/2, and AMOS knowledge are essential, as is extensive Staff Engineer experience and the ability to diagnose machinery faults under challenging conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid STCW95 certification and CoC A-III/2 are required.
• Extensive experience as Staff Engineer essential.
• Excellent English (verbal, written and technical).
• Strong ability to diagnose machinery faults and lead safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe operation and maintenance of all main and auxiliary machinery.
• Oversee repair and maintenance of propulsion and related systems.
• Coordinate with other technical parties and departments to ensure shipboard safety and efficiency.
