Overview

Wakefield Adult and Community Education has casual tutor positions available up to 22.2 hours per week. We are an OFSTED rated - good provider and are looking to appoint to a variety of casual tutor positions to meet growing demand in the District. Hours may be split into smaller amounts depending on candidate skills; demand for this provision varies, so appointments are on a casual basis.

Subject areas
  • Parenting / SEND including Autism
  • Working with the elderly
  • Planning/Cooking on a budget
  • Independent Living Skills
  • Basic craft activities
Responsibilities
  • Carrying out initial assessments to help plan realistic goals and targets
  • Lesson planning, preparation and delivery
  • Assessing, recording and meeting individual learner needs
  • Delivering sessions in a safe, supportive and engaging environment across different locations
  • Working to the Education Inspection Framework
Requirements

You will need good communication and organisational skills as you will be responsible for achieving and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment to support our adult learners to succeed.
