Job summary

Nestlé York Factory is seeking an Engineering Technician to implement and execute the factory asset maintenance programme. You will reduce unplanned stops, optimise maintenance cost and increase asset intensity by repairing, reporting and analyzing failures and executing planned maintenance.

You will provide technical coaching, lead problem solving, and help train factory staff while driving continuous improvement in a 24/7 shift environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 and a formal electrical qualification or equivalent.
• Time served apprenticeship with mechanical/electrical exposure.
• Dual training preferred (mechanical and electrical) with manufacturing experience.
• 18th Edition BS7671 wiring regulations knowledge.
• Experience with installation, inspection and testing (minor works).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to reduce losses and coach problem solving.
• Input for annual maintenance budget and track work-order costs.
• Support production to eliminate defects, safety risks and chronic issues.
• Lead and participate in breakdown analysis.
• Ensure maintenance activities are scheduled and high quality.
• Assist with technical training for factory staff.
• Strong problem solving and fault diagnosis with CMMS knowledge.
• Team player with drive for continuous improvement.
