Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking an Area Manager in Erith to lead and develop a high-performing operational team in a 24/7 warehousing environment. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and employee experience, delivering KPI-driven outcomes.

You will manage shifts, drive training, and ensure adherence to HACCP and food safety controls while coordinating across sites. A strong background in warehouse management and people leadership is essential.

Qualifications

Previous management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices in operations.
Experience in people management and coaching to improve KPIs.
Comfort working with large data sets and operational reporting.
Familiarity with computerised warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced 24/7 warehouse setting.
Uphold health and safety standards and investigate incidents.
Drive engagement, training, and KPI performance for labour turnover and absence.
Maintain housekeeping, food safety controls, and process improvements.
Deliver pre-shift briefings and report area KPIs to senior management.
