Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a highly organised Resource Planning Coordinator for our Manchester area to coordinate and dispatch field engineering resources across a 24/7 operation. The role involves arranging appointments, monitoring engineer availability and ensuring service level commitments are met.

Starting in office-based training, you will work Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with a transition to a 40-hour rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate field engineer appointments and service visits
• Monitor engineer availability and optimise resource utilisation
• Manage emergency, priority and escalated service requests
• Liaise with customers, engineers, partners and internal teams
• Monitor work queues and service delivery performance
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and minimise service delays
• Maintain accurate records within scheduling and workforce management systems
• Support operational reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
