Job summary

Aptum is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide exceptional 24x7 customer service and remote hands support for clients. You will work with Aptum staff to troubleshoot issues, monitor systems, and maintain data center infrastructure.

Responsibilities include rack deployments, OS installations, and handling escalations while ensuring security and uptime. The role requires flexibility for shift work and a proactive team player attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional 24x7 customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work remotely with customers and Aptum staff to identify and resolve issues.
• Utilize monitoring software and ticketing system for support.
• Perform daily data center tasks including tape rotations and access control.
• Maintain data center security, organization, and cleanliness.
• Monitor servers for hardware/software alerts to ensure uptime.
• Install and troubleshoot server OS and network components.
• Escalate issues following defined procedures and update documentation.
