Medical Receptionist

Vacancy – Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - 8am to 6pm

Alford Medical Group currently has a vacancy for a friendly, helpful, and motivated Medical Receptionist to work as part of our team.

Requirements

• Experience with GP software such as Vision, Docman, and Excel.
• Flexibility in hours to cover holiday/illness, with potential for additional hours by mutual agreement.

The Duties

• Dealing with patient appointments both at reception and on the phone.
• Registering and maintaining patient records.
• Handling patient queries, including prescriptions, test results, and general information.
• Using software (Vision, Docman, SCI, Word, Excel, etc.).
• General administration tasks.
• Performing any other duties as required.

Person Specification

• Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• Quick, efficient, and helpful response to inquiries.
• Accuracy in completing tasks.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
• Supportive team player.
• Good listening skills and the ability to ask relevant questions.
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Salary depends on experience. You will be eligible for NHS pension scheme membership.
