Equities Sales Associate – London

We are looking for an experienced associate to join our Equity Sales team within the Global Institutional Equities Business in London.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with institutional clients and Hedge Funds in the U.K., with valued experience in Ireland, Scandinavia, Europe, and the Middle East.
• Generate investment ideas and market commentary using Piper Sandler’s research platform, and present these ideas internally and to clients.
• Produce daily U.S. Equity Summary & Early Morning Note.
• Open new accounts, collaborate with senior colleagues to increase client engagement and monetise Piper Sandler’s resources.
• Proactively schedule meetings, dinners, and events for clients.
• Maintain CRM database with client information and interactions to manage and grow client engagement.
• Collaborate with sales-traders across London, Switzerland, Paris, and the U.S.
• Manage sales interaction reporting (MiFID) projects.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of client interactions for MiFID compliance.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the team.
• Assist the Regional Head of Sales.

Required and Preferred Qualities and Qualifications

• Experience covering U.S. equities markets; Hedge Fund experience is a plus.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience with a proven track record.
• Ability to develop client relationships and expand the client network in the U.K.
• Proactive, collaborative team player with a client-focused, detail-oriented approach.
• Experience influencing stakeholder interests and operating strategically for business growth.
• Strong client onboarding skills, excellent time management, and confident communication.
• Language Skills: Mandatory: English; Desirable: German, Italian, Scandinavian Languages.
