Equities Sales Associate - London

We are looking for an experienced associate to join our Equity Sales team within the Global Institutional Equities Business in London.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  1. Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with institutional clients and hedge funds in the U.K., with valued experience in Ireland, Scandinavia, Europe, and the Middle East.
  2. Generate investment ideas and market commentary using Piper Sandler's research platform, and present these ideas internally and to clients.
  3. Prepare daily U.S. Equity Summary & Early Morning Notes.
  4. Open new accounts, collaborate with senior colleagues to increase client engagement and monetise Piper Sandler's resources.
  5. Schedule meetings, dinners, and events for clients proactively.
  6. Update and maintain the CRM database with client interactions to manage and monetise engagement.
  7. Collaborate with sales-traders across London, Switzerland, Paris, and the U.S.
  8. Manage sales interaction reporting (MiFID) and ensure compliance with monthly deadlines.
  9. Perform administrative tasks supporting the team.
  10. Assist the Regional Head of Sales as needed.
Required and Preferred Qualities and Qualifications
  1. Experience in U.S. equities markets; hedge fund experience is a plus.
  2. 1-4 years in a similar role with a proven track record.
  3. Ability to develop and maintain client relationships and identify growth opportunities in the U.K.
  4. Proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills.
  5. Ability to influence stakeholder interests and operate strategically for business growth.
  6. Strong client onboarding skills, excellent time management, and confident communication.
  7. Language Skills: Mandatory - English; Desirable - German, Italian, Scandinavian languages.
