Job description

Our client is seeking a 1st Line IT Support Engineer for an MSP, to be based in Havant, Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

1. Answering calls and responding to tickets from customers.
2. Provide remote support to resolve problems that the customer is facing relating to any aspect of their IT.
3. Triage incoming calls and tickets and liaise with the wider IT team to manage escalations.
4. Provide on-site technical support at clients' premises where necessary.
5. Adhere to defined KPIs and meet the expected SLAs.
6. Consistently contribute to and update documentation.
7. On-board and off-board users.
8. Monitor backups daily and report on any issues that arise.

Key Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 1 year experience in an IT support environment.
2. Experience with support of Windows Desktop OS.
3. Good working knowledge of PC, laptop and printer hardware.
4. Good working knowledge of the full MS Office suite.
5. Basic knowledge of IT networking and cabling.
6. Excellent telephone manner with good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Demonstrable problem-solving skills with a logical train of thought.

Any Experience With The Following Would Be a Bonus:

1. Support for VoIP systems.
2. Office 365 administration.
3. Basic server administration (AD user account creation, password resets, etc.).
4. Any IT certifications from Microsoft, CCNA or other relevant IT certifications would be highly beneficial towards your application.
