Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local delivery team in the UK. You will work 45 hours per week, starting at 06:30 and finishing by 16:00, on an Any 5 from 7 pattern with some weekend work. You’ll be responsible for loading stock, delivering to regular customers, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

Ideal candidates have a Cat C / 18T licence and at least two years of driving experience, with strong customer service skills and good literacy and numeracy.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T licence required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Experience with local delivery routes desirable.
• Excellent customer service and literacy/numeracy.
• Physically able to load/unload goods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers and maintain good service.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.

About the role

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an "Any 5 from 7" contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
