Job summary

RSM UK offers a 12-month paid placement in external audit as part of a sandwich degree. You’ll work alongside current trainees and experienced professionals, gaining practical experience on real client work and benefiting from on-the-job training and internal courses.

You’ll contribute to risk-focused reviews of financial records and controls, building confidence among stakeholders while preparing for potential graduate training on completion of your degree.

Qualifications

• Must have UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent) or four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers.
• Be enrolled on a sandwich/placement degree.
• Right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• The ability to analyse data and work with teams under guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist on client work from day one within a larger audit team.
• Contribute to risk-focused reviews of financial records, processes and controls.
• Support audits across a variety of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large groups and not-for-profits.
• Engage in on-the-job training and internal courses to develop throughout the year.
