Job summary

AstraZeneca in the United Kingdom is offering a 12-month University Industrial Placement Student role as a Clinical Study Administrator in Luton. You will support coordination of trials, liaise with stakeholders, and help manage trial documentation and eTMF setup.

The role is ideal for an undergraduate Life Science student, with strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail. The team supports flexible working within an office-based setting.

Qualifications

• Currently undertaking an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree in a Life Science subject, with the opportunity to spend 1 year in industry starting in September 2027.
• Expert user of Microsoft Office suite: Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc
• Excellent communication skills via email/phone with a wide range of stakeholders and present to them
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a busy work environment as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organization and time management skills including flexibility

Responsibilities

• Support coordination of local study team meetings and UK trial site meetings.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and clinical trial systems vendors.
• Assist in preparation, review and tracking of documents for ethical and regulatory approvals.
• Engage with clinicians, research nurses and AZ monitors to support data collection and system setup.
• Oversee hospital site payments through liaison with finance teams, including invoicing and payments tracking.
• Set up local eTMF and Investigator Site Files according to ICH/GCP standards.
