Job summary

FCMS in Blackpool is seeking a qualified Clinician to join our 111 Call Handling team. This permanent role offers full-time and part-time hours (minimum 16 hrs/week) at Newfield House, Blackpool.

You will provide telephone clinical assessment and advice to callers with a wide range of conditions, using clinical judgment and decision-support tools. You will identify appropriate care pathways, give homecare and medication guidance, and refer for further clinical care when needed, within a busy

Qualifications

• Professional clinical qualification and active registration with regulator (e.g., NMC).
• Experience with telephone-based clinical assessment is advantageous.

We are looking for qualified Clinicians to join our 111 team!

Please note: A professional clinical qualification and active registration with relevant regulator, e.g. first-level registered nurse with active NMC registration is required for this role.

• Contract – Permanent
• Hours – Full Time & Part Time (minimum 16 hours per week)
• Location – Newfield House, Vicarage Lane, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY4 4EW

The post holder will be responsible for delivering high quality telephone clinical assessment and advice to callers presenting with a wide range of conditions and complex medical histories. Using professional clinical judgement supported by decision-support software, the role involves identifying appropriate care pathways, providing safe and effective homecare and medication advice, and referring individuals to further clinical care when necessary. Working within a contact centre environment, the post holder will utilise both generalist and specialist skills to assess patients of all ages, offering health information and guidance that empowers individuals to manage their symptoms appropriately and access the right level of care.
