Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking compassionate 1:1 Tutors to support children aged 5-16 in Alternative Provision across North Yorkshire. The role offers flexible 2-6 hours per day across a full academic year, with options for face-to-face or online tuition.

You will plan and adapt lessons to meet EHCP/PEP targets, build confidence, and work with Virtual Schools, carers and education professionals to provide consistent support.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring children aged 5-16.
• Ability to tailor tutoring to SEMH/LAC needs.
• Patient, reliable and passionate about helping learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tuition in English and Maths (face-to-face or online).
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet EHCP and PEP targets.
• Build confidence and motivation, tracking progress with learners.
• Collaborate with carers, social workers and education professionals to provide consistent support.
