Job summary

Steeple Morden CofE VC Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant (1:1) to support an individually named pupil. The role runs 17.5 hours per week during term time, with a fixed-term contract ending 31 August 2027 and a pro rata salary of about £9,930 to date depending on start date.

The successful candidate will have experience with primary-aged children, preferably with additional needs, and be resilient, patient and a strong team player who can adapt plans and use ICT to support learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary aged children as a TA, teacher, trainee or volunteer.
• Knowledge and/or experience of working with children with additional needs.
• Resilient, calm, patient, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support individually named pupils during the school day.
• Assist with learning activities and use ICT to support teaching.
