Job summary

Steeple Morden CofE VC Primary School is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to support individually named pupils during the school day. The role is 17.5 hours per week, term time only, with a fixed term contract to 31 August 2027.

The successful candidate will have experience with primary-aged children, possibly as a TA, teacher, trainee or volunteer, and with children who have additional needs. A calm, patient, adaptable approach and good ICT skills are essential.

• Experience of working with primary aged children as a TA, teacher, trainee or volunteer.
• Knowledge/experience with children with additional needs.
• Resilient, calm, patient and positive attitude.
• Ability to adapt plans and use ICT to support learning.
• Team player with effective communication with staff and parents.
• Passionate about helping children close gaps in learning and social experiences.
