Job summary

West Monkton C of E Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027. The role focuses on 1:1 pupil support and working with small intervention groups to meet diverse SEND needs.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, the Pastoral Assistant, and other TAs, with DBS clearance required prior to appointment. Salary is Grade 15 point 3 (£17,571) pro rata for 30hrs 25min per week during term time (38 weeks).

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• Experience of supporting pupils with High Needs.
• Experience of working in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEND needs as required.
• Supporting and delivering learning activities with small intervention groups.
• Implementing adaptations to learning as identified by class teachers and SENDCo.
• Collaborating with class teachers, the Pastoral Assistant and other Teaching Assistants to support pupils.
