Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chigwell. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to a specific pupil throughout the school day.

Responsibilities include 1:1 classroom support, helping the pupil access learning, and developing confidence, independence and social skills while promoting positive behaviour in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN or on a 1:1 basis is desirable but not essential.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant would be advantageous.

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the classroom and during wider school activities.
• Supporting the pupil to access learning and complete classroom tasks.
• Helping develop the pupil's confidence, independence and social skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
• Supporting the pupil's emotional and wellbeing needs.

Vision for Education are currently seeking a caring, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chigwell.

The Role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and school staff to provide tailored support to a specific pupil throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil in the classroom and during wider school activities.
• Supporting the pupil to access learning and complete classroom tasks.
• Helping develop the pupil's confidence, independence and social skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
• Supporting the pupil's emotional and wellbeing needs.
• Adapting activities and providing additional guidance where required.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support the pupil's individual needs.
