Job summary

Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust is seeking a calm, patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant for St Peter’s CE Primary Academy in Salisbury. The role is 30 hours per week, fixed term, supporting a pupil with bespoke needs and close collaboration with the teaching team.

The successful candidate will differentiate learning, maintain boundaries, and contribute to a nurturing, high-expectation classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Calm, patient and consistent approach required.
• Experience supporting pupils within a school setting preferred.
• Ability to differentiate and adapt learning for individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support a pupil 1:1 within the classroom.
• Work with the class teacher and assistant to aid learning and social communication.
• Differentiate and adapt learning to individual needs.
• Lead, inspire and motivate students with high expectations.
