Job summary

Academics is hiring a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Salisbury. The role focuses on providing bespoke, pupil-centered support to help a child access the curriculum and build confidence.

The ideal candidate may be a recent graduate or an experienced TA; previous work with children is desirable but not essential. Experience with ASD or behavioural needs is beneficial. Salary ranges per day and start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Patient and empathetic approach to learning and behavior management.
• Ability to tailor support to individual pupil needs.
• Experience in supporting children is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
• Support the pupil across the curriculum and in social aspects of learning.
• Adapt learning materials and manage behaviour positively in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor interventions.
• Encourage engagement and build confidence in the pupil.
