Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD).
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the child’s individual needs and support their educational and personal development.
  • Assist with emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets.
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and social interaction to foster a supportive learning environment.

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Newmatket. This role involves supporting a child with additional needs, providing consistent one-on-one assistance to help them access learning, build confidence, and thrive in a mainstream classroom environment.

About the role
  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, or additional learning needs)
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the child's individual needs and support their educational and personal development

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
