Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a Bolton primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor activities, promote independence and help the child access learning throughout the day.

The role is full-time and temporary, with a daily rate of £95–£110 depending on experience. Start date in September 2026 (or sooner if available).

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or SEND setting.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt to individual learning and behavioural needs.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

The School and Role

Are you a patient, caring and dedicated individual looking to make a real impact on a child's education? We are recruiting a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bolton.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day. You’ll adapt learning activities, encourage independence, promote positive behaviour and help create a safe and engaging learning environment where the pupil can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

You’ll play a key role in helping one child access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential within the classroom.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or SEND setting.
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to adapt to individual learning and behavioural needs.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
• Relevant safeguarding training (or willingness to complete this before starting).
• Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH or other additional needs would be highly beneficial.
