Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition to young people with SEND in Bridgwater. The role focuses on bridging gaps in education and boosting attainment through tailored lessons held during school hours.

You may be an experienced tutor or teacher, with QTS or equivalent and UK classroom experience; PECS/Makaton training is desirable. The position is part-time (minimum 10 hours per week per pupil) with a temporary contract and start ASAP.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching in UK classrooms is preferred.
• PECS/Makaton training is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil education.
• Plan and deliver lessons, track progress and attainment.
• Submit weekly reports on pupil progression and outcomes.
