Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 lessons and support students with SEND to build confidence and independence. The role can be part-time or full-time and takes place at various South Shields locations, including in pupils' homes or community learning hubs.

The tutor will develop personalised lesson plans, monitor progress, and provide weekly reports to families. UK classroom teaching experience and a right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• UK classroom teaching experience required.
• Experience working with students with SEND including ASD, ADHD, GLD and challenging behaviours.
• Creative, patient approach and willingness to think outside the box.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or small group tuition for students with SEND and build confidence.
• Develop personalised lesson plans addressing learning gaps.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to students and families.
• Create supportive learning environment to rebuild confidence in learning.
• Complete daily attendance and weekly reports.
