Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a SEND Specialist Tutor to support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups across Darlington. The role is a temporary contract with an ASAP start, and sessions may take place at home or in community learning hubs.

You will plan engaging, personalised lessons for learners with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and related needs, helping them build confidence, essential skills and meaningful progress in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Child-related/Education qualification.
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with students with SEND including ASD, ADHD, GLD and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND through individual and small group sessions, developing self‑confidence, independence, practical life skills, community awareness and basic food preparation.
